The Future is Now: Accelerating Public Service Innovation for Agenda 2030
The United Nations Public Service Forum (UN PSF) and Awards ceremony aims to inform and inspire public service innovators. The Netherlands and the UNDESA joint aim is to create a knowledge platform for information on public service innovations. The Forum is also committed to making the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) a reality and offering as many practical solutions as possible.
In this two-day Forum, we invite you to take a closer look at public service innovations in a variety of interactive sessions, such as the plenary sessions, within the eight tracks, at the reflection tables and, of course, during the awards ceremony.
Ministers and high-level decision-makers will share their public service innovations in The Hague on 22 and 23 June 2017. The Dutch Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Dr. R.H.A. Plasterk, and Under-Secretary-General to the United Nations, Mr. Wu Hongbo, will personally welcome the participants from all around the world to the UN PSF.
For any country, quality of public services is an essential precondition for its economic, ecological and social wellbeing. Quality of the delivery of government and public services is by no means a given in a world that is transitioning rapidly into a digital and global community. Keeping up with the rapid pace of changes and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will require innovation in the public service domain both now and into the future.
